Remember the damn broken Ipod Touch button? Yeah, the one that have been dissembled with pisau ikan.
I stopped dissembling it, after stuck with the ribbon cable removing part because I’m afraid it might get tear apart sebab sgt nipis. Last night, I was browsing around instructable (yeah wild huh, sweet innocent I loike :P) and I had this idea to find the ribbon cable removing instruction. And yeah pretty easy, just pull it off. haha shoot. Then personally meet the damn button at the last layer of IPod Touch. The button seemed to have a very tiny gap to the capacitive switch (obviously la kan sebab dah tak feel the ticking of d button anymore).
So I searched around my room for a piece of flat and small metal that just fit the button area. I ended up with one of a female jack lead.
I cut and paste it with UHU glue. The first try failed and I made a smaller piece that just fit the center of button. It works and alive :-D. Now I wondering, should I jailbreak this thing?
Thats all for today. No rocket science, just a little bit of gut and creativity.. and and luck. BTW I managed to save up to RM750 (equivalent to the cost of the new IPod touch)
PS: I use my own money for all these gadgets thing and a little blood sacrifice.

lebih kurang dengan cara aku repair dua hp nokia aku bila keypad tak leh guna. aku taruk kapas nipis kat bawah keypad tu.
Yeh betul same concept but in this case sebab the underneath of button look like something metallic, so aku rasa something is fishy. Thats why I put the lead instead of plastic or other material.
Apple service centre @ Gardens tu mmg mentekedarah, repair sikit smpai nk charge RM750.
